WOW!,What a fourth of July we had in 2009.For the first time in 10 years we got to have Alyx all day. We went out in the morning to check out the festivities at North Lake Park. While we were walking around we found a great spot to watch the fireworks in the evening. It was noon and people had already started to save their spot so we decided to do the same. We pitched a dining tent and then left Alyx to hang out, little did we know that she was going to get caught in a Colorado thunderstorm. When we got back to her everything including her was soaked. Brody, Alyx and I hung out for a few more hours and then walked home hoping that Brody would nap before the fireworks. YA RIGHT!! So at 8:30 we packed into Chad’s postal jeep and traveled back to the park for the fireworks. Check out the finale of the Lake Loveland fireworks. Before she went to bed at midnight, here is what Alyx had to say about the fourth “In the early afternoon the family headed down to Loveland lake to get a good spot, we didn’t get the one we wanted, mainly because that’s were they shot off the fireworks, but the spot we did get was great! Going back and forth to the house and our spot 50 billion times to gather things we needed to set up was exhausting but worth it in the end. The fireworks were amazing and Brody’s reaction to them was spectacular! I can’t wait till next year when he is even a little bit older.”
