How ridiculous is it that we have lived in such a beautiful state for 10 years and have yet to see all its beauty. About 30 minutes from our house is Carter Lake, it is a 1,100 acres reservoir and is popular for fishing, sailing, camping, swimming, scuba diving, rock climbing, and water skiing. In all the years of living here we have never camped at any of the Carter Lake campgrounds. We decided since traveling more on airplanes with Brody is TOTALLY out of the picture, we would go camping for a couple of days. We had fun splashing around in the water, playing board games and roasting marshmallows. The night before we left Alyx just had to jump off the dock which is suppose to be a complete no no but the boat inspector didn’t seem to care. I guess the reservoirs in Colorado are being threatened by zebra mussels so they inspect every boat that goes in and out of the water. Anyway I caught some great shots of Alyx jumping off the dock, check them out. We hope to go back one more time before the water levels get way to low. Gotta love Colorado.
